Oh yeah, there are so many specialty auto repair places in west Michigan. Lots of VW/German repair places. And the shop down my street has cool stuff on a daily basis and the techs will gladly shoot the shit with you about whatever is parked outside.

I used to live in a tiny town in northwest Illinois. One of the guys that worked at the local hole in the wall auto shop had a Merkur XR4ti like pictured. Never got much chance to talk to him about it much  but he did like my MINI.

Nice. I always liked the XR4i and Ford Sierras. My wife is a big fan of the Mustang and Bronco. we live in Holland, MI. How long are you in town for?

If you have time, try Boatworks in Holland for dinner. Great view of L ake Mac and very good food. It is the site of a former Chris Craft factory. There is also a large Heinz facility down the shoreline. It has a nice boardwalk around it that connects to Boatwerks. All well lit and great for a dinner and evening walk.
